Hey guys, are you ready for another artsy-fartsy blog? If you know me personally, you would know that I love arts & crafts. And as much as I’m loving crafting, painting and doing artsy things, I also love hoarding supplies too! It’s my guilty-pleasure. I have a box and a cabinet full of it and those things comes very useful when I do props for company events and sort. Okay, before I share with you my haul, let me give you a small virtual tour of the shop via the photos I’ve taken. :)
Last Saturday, 13th of October, as a blogger partner of WishCard, I have been assigned on a very artsy mission! Together with my blogger friends, Sab and April, we invaded the humble shop of Bee Happy. It’s an arts and crafts supplies shop owned by Ms. Ruby. She is a mother of two and loves crafting. She’s very nice and kind. She started Bee Happy in 2012 as an online shop and two years after they built their physical shop (See map below). Their physical shop maybe small but it’s definitely a crafters heaven – jampack with crafting tools like punchers, scoring boards, adhesives, stickers, washi tapes, journals, papers, inks and more (See photo below for a quick virtual shop tour).
Bee Happy has also started an initiative, Crafters Against Cancer. It’s a project that aims to help and raise funds for pediatric cancer patients in Bahay Aruga (a halfway house for pediatric cancer patients). For full details please read their original post.
BUT HERE’S HOW YOU CAN HELP:
1. DONATE SALEABLE ITEMS.
2. CASH DONATIONS
3. VOLUNTEER AS A DROP OFF POINT
4. DONATE OTHER ITEMS
5. VOLUNTEER AS A CRAFT TEACHER
First batch of Oct 26, 2018.
Second batch, Nov 23, 2018.
We had a wonderful and creative afternoon. Ms. Ruby taught us how to do the wax stamp seal, gift tags making and stamping! The Bee Happy shop has a small corner with lots of sample art materials where you can use it for free! Awesome right? If you want to know more about our wax stamp seal experience head over to Sab’s blog. Here are some of the photos I took during our wax stamping session.
We finished a bit late in the afternoon and we didn’t notice the time. It’s very fun and we learned a lot. Ms. Ruby also gave us loot bags – my artsy heart is very happy and it’s very kind of her. Each of us got a wax seal, lots of waxes, notebook and washi tapes. But of course, I couldn’t leave the shop without purchasing anything. You can never leave this shop empty handed. ❤
This is my favorite part of the loot. Ms. Ruby gave us the stamp seal & the spoon that we used during the session and even gave us lots of waxes! I love it. Now, I have something to use on my holiday gift tags now! Yay!
We also got a planner, washi tapes and lots of stickers that we can use for daily activities and more!
The Things I bought:
I actually recalled ordering from their online shop before, because I have paper stocks from them but it was from a long long time ago, so I really can’t fully remember it. What I really liked about Bee Happy is that they have the Aleene’s Adhesive brand! (See photo above) A safer choice than the industrial glue that I used for crafting. Although, they don’t have the Ultimate adhesive variant, what they have is a super glue that’s in pen form – meaning no messy hands when using this! Hooray! (Trust me super gluing your fingers is the worst. Huhu!) I think I will write a blog about my crafts soon. ;)
I am also excited to use this Mod Podge Dimensional thing that I bought, I am not familiar how it works but I can research on that later. But I think that this is similar to the Judykins Diamond Glaze that I have used before.
I have a small washi tape collection so I have to get this black washi with gold pineapple print on it.❤
And I also got an extra set of wax beads. I love the color red. :)
It’s a very fruitful and creative experience. I am grateful to Ms. Ruby of Bee Happy for having us and to WishCard for assigning us into this session. If you are still not convinced that Bee Happy is a crafter’s heaven, you might want to visit April’s blog about her top 5 reason on why you should choose Bee Happy. ;)
So that’s it guys, I hope you enjoyed reading my blog and please let me know your thoughts in the comment section below, I really hope that you like it. :)
